Kiky Saputri is Protective to Safeguard Her Child's Health; Father Must Shower After Smoking

Becoming a mother has made Kiky Saputri very protective of her child, Kayesha Nadha Khairi, or called Kayya, who was born on February 20, 2025. The wife of Muhammad Khairi does not take her child's health lightly, especially against exposure to viruses and cigarette smoke. Recently, Kiky has been in the spotlight for implementing strict rules for anyone who wants to interact with her child.

Kiky explains the reasons behind her firm stance. She realizes that the current environmental conditions, including viruses in the air, are very concerning for vulnerable babies, thus requiring extra protection.

"Not just our child, even other people's children cry. Because now there are so many of them, right? I mean, the viruses in the air are already so many, you know. So I really learn (to keep my child's health)," she said when met in the area of Jalan Warung Jati Barat, Mampang, South Jakarta, Tuesday (25/11/2025).

This 32-year-old comedian learns from past experiences where the culture of visiting newborns often neglects hygiene. She doesn't want her child to become a victim of adults' ignorance who carelessly touch or kiss babies without ensuring their own cleanliness.

"Back in our childhood, when the aunts came, they would say, 'Oh, so cute.' Then they would go home not knowing what happened to that child, whether they caught a cold or a cough," she reminisced.

Kiky emphasizes that adults have a great responsibility to maintain the health of children. According to her, the cost of treating a sick child is not cheap, not to mention the feeling of pity seeing the little one undergoing medical treatment.

"What I mean is, we as adults should take better care. Because when a child is sick, first, it's pitiful. Right? They have to be infused, undergo treatments. Secondly, the costs are high, and the parents need to have money. It's better for us as adults to be the ones who take care," she wisely stated.

Kiky's firm stance even applies to her immediate family, including her biological father. She strongly prohibits anyone who has just smoked from touching her child without cleaning themselves first. She does this to avoid the risk of serious illnesses such as pneumonia.

"Don't even mention others. His grandfather, my father, my biological father, after smoking, he can't hold anything, must take a shower first, change clothes first. Because there are already many children who have pneumonia because of that," Kiky emphasized. She hopes this awareness can also be shared by all adults.
