Kimberly Ryder's Mother Admits She Initially Disagreed with Her Daughter's Marriage to Edward Akbar

Kapanlagi.com - Kimberly Ryder's mother, Irvina Zainal, expressed her feelings regarding her daughter's marriage to Edward Akbar, which is now on the verge of divorce. Irvina admitted that she initially did not approve of the marriage. Nevertheless, as a mother, Irvina ultimately gave in for Kimberly's happiness.

"I really didn’t agree, but what can I do, my child wants to be happy. I don't want her to be taken away. So I just agreed, and now it’s like this," said Irvina when met at the Religious Court (PA) in Central Jakarta, Wednesday (16/10/2024).

Furthermore, Irvina added that from the beginning she had warned Edward to take good care of Kimberly.

"I have told him from the start, Edward please take good care of my daughter, don’t let anything happen to her," said Irvina.

In response to her mother's statement, Kimberly Ryder recalled the moment when the message was conveyed. According to Kimberly, what Edward remembered at that time was the message not to cheat.

"But what Edward heard at that time was to never cheat, that's why from there, he (Edward) is very proud of himself, he has never cheated," Kimberly added.

However, behind that promise, Irvina felt there was another side of Edward that only surfaced after their marriage. "Oh, it turns out, after getting married, there is something bad about him," she said.

2. Present as a Witness

Now, Irvina is present as a witness in the divorce trial of Kimberly and Edward, which is still ongoing at the Central Jakarta Religious Court. This trial has become increasingly intense after the panel of judges rejected the exception submitted by Edward.

Kimberly Ryder filed for divorce from Edward Akbar on July 21, 2024, and their divorce proceedings are still ongoing. Not only is she filing for divorce, but Kimberly has also reported Edward for alleged embezzlement of a car unit at the South Jakarta Police, complicating the situation faced by this couple.
