Komeng's Story of Not Eating for Three Years for His Children's Education, Wants to Continue to Military School - Majoring in Film

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Komeng looked happy attending the graduation of his two children who graduated from the International Islamic Education Council (IIHS) high school. The man whose full name is Alfiansyah Bustami is grateful that Ganteng Maritza Aldi and Bagus Athallah Aldi were able to complete their education.

"It's okay, for the sake of education, I'll do anything even if it means not eating for three years," said Komeng with a laugh at Hotel Bidakara, Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Thursday (15/6/2023).

As for the cost of education, Komeng admitted that he didn't really worry about it. Especially when it comes to his children's future. "Expensive or not, it's relative. My children, if it's for the better, it's not a problem," said Komeng.

Interestingly, one of Komeng's children, Bagus, will follow in his father's footsteps by entering the world of performing arts. However, more behind the scenes. "I want to continue to UMN majoring in film. More behind the scenes," said Bagus.

Meanwhile, Ganteng chose to dedicate himself by entering military school. "I'll go to military academy," said Ganteng firmly.

2. Giving Full Freedom

Komeng, who is now 52 years old, has always allowed his two children to determine their own future. Whatever they choose, he and his wife, Aprilliana Indra Dewi, always support them.

"Be free, go wherever you want (in your field), as long as it's positive. If they say they want to be a robber, I might hold them back a little," said Komeng.

The most important thing for Komeng is that his children also learn about religion. That's why he and his wife enrolled them in the International Islamic Education Council (IIHS) high school.

"Be free, as long as you're good. That's why I can't teach them about religion, so I let them learn it here (at IIHS). The religious teachings here are deeper," he added.
