Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian diva and also a member of the Indonesian Parliament, Kris Dayanti posted a story on her Instagram account @krisdayantilemos stating that she has canceled her candidacy for Mayor of Batu. Previously, KD was announced by the DPP PDIP as the recipient of the recommendation to contest in the 2024 Pilwali.
The post conveyed that KD, as she is commonly called, will not run for Mayor of Batu. She apologized to the General Chair of PDIP and the people of Batu City.
“With humility, I apologize for not running for Mayor of Batu. I express my deepest apologies to the PDI Perjuangan party, the chairwoman, and the people of Batu City,” wrote Kris Dayanti in her story, which was seen on Thursday (22/08) at 22:34 WIB.
The KapanLagi.com team is still trying to contact Kris Dayanti to get a definite reason regarding the diva's cancellation of her candidacy for the regional head from her hometown.

Previously, the Central Management Board (DPP) of PDI Perjuangan provided recommendations to the pair Kris Dayanti (KD) and Kresna Dewanata Prosakh (Dewa) to contest in the 2024 Batu City Pilwali.
The announcement of the recommendation was delivered by the General Chair of PDIP, Megawati Soekarno Putri, at the PDIP DPP Office in Jakarta, Thursday (22/8/2024), along with several other regions.
