Kapanlagi.com - Bopak Castello reminisces about the last moments with Nurul Qomar with deep emotion. As a senior figure in the comedy world, Qomar always managed to create a pleasant atmosphere around him.
"There are many last memories with Pak Haji. Because it all started when Bopak entered comedy with the 4 Sekawan group, with Ginanjar, Eman, and Derry. So we really know Pak Haji's character well," said Bopak at the mourning house in Tangerang, Wednesday (8/1/2025).
Bopak revealed that even while he was sick, Qomar never showed his suffering to his friends. On the contrary, he always brought joy at every opportunity.
"He was always happy. He was sick, and none of his friends knew. He always made his friends around him happy, never allowed them to be sad," said Bopak.
One of the most memorable moments was when Qomar unexpectedly showed up at a comedy event. That moment showcased the spontaneous and surprising side of the senior comedian.
"That's why the last memory is when we were performing, and he suddenly appeared with his own character. It was random for him to go up on stage, climb up wherever, as he pleased. That was the last memory with Pak Haji, having fun with other comedians," said Bopak.

As a friend, Bopak also prays for the best for Nurul Qomar's departure. He hopes that the senior comedian will find the best place by His side.
"Yes, Bopak prays for Pak Haji to be forgiven for all his sins, and that his good deeds are accepted. And this is the best place. Allah loves Pak Haji more. Hopefully, the family left behind will be strong and must continue to move forward with time," concluded Bopak.
Nurul Qomar passed away on Wednesday (1/8/2025). The member of the comedy group Empat Sekawan took his last breath after several days of intensive care at RSUD Tangerang due to colon cancer.
Nurul Qomar had previously been treated for colon cancer that recurred after being declared cured in 2022. This disease was first diagnosed in September 2021. At that time, he was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer and had to undergo 11 rounds of chemotherapy.
After undergoing a long and difficult treatment process, Qomar was finally declared cured in June 2022. However, the cancer returned and ultimately led to his death.
