When met at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday (31/7/2026), Billar revealed his wife's encouragement to consistently pursue legal action.

Billar stated that Lesti had previously conveyed that he should not hesitate and remain firm on the legal decision that has been made. He mentioned that this confidence serves as a preparation to face the ongoing process.
"My wife even made a statement like that, and that makes me even more certain to continue this process," Billar added.
Support from Lesti came alongside Billar's actions in following up on the case of six accounts spreading hoaxes. He emphasized his commitment to continue the process without weakening halfway through.
In addition to providing support, Lesti also reprimanded Billar regarding his attitude, which was considered too forgiving in previous similar cases. According to Billar, this reprimand is one of the reasons he is now acting more firmly.
"Yes, I was reprimanded by my wife, 'Come on, you’ve gone so far, the person is from Aceh who spoke with the police before, you’ve gone so far, don’t let it be that when you’re exhausted, sacrificing many things, once they are caught, you finally let go.' It should be that once you take a firm step, you should be confident and not let go again," Billar explained.
He views this input as a reminder to consistently implement the commitment that has been chosen, without softening again when the process is underway.
Billar emphasized that his actions are not intended as revenge. He stated that this legal step was chosen as a lesson for many parties, including himself, while also encouraging caution in social media usage.
"After all, this is also meant to provide shock therapy or a deterrent effect, a learning experience. And it's more about learning, not just for those who have spread hoaxes, but also for myself and for others to be more aware and wiser in using social media," Billar concluded.
He hopes that the process undertaken can have a deterrent effect and serve as a broad reminder that social media should be used more responsibly.
