"My boyfriend is already here, we've been dating for 4.5 almost 5 years. He’s not from the entertainment industry, and I’m not ready for that," said Ummi when met in the Gatot Subroto area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (3/9/2024).
"From the beginning, I really didn't want to be with someone in entertainment, and he also doesn't want to be in the spotlight when invited to podcasts or TV, he never wants to and just isn't brave enough, he just doesn't want to appear," Ummi continued.
Ummi also shared how her boyfriend behaves maturely in dealing with the gossip often associated with her, such as when Ummi was rumored to be matched with Andre Taulany's son, Kenzy.
"Feeling jealous is normal, but he is already mature, we are both mature, so we just joke around. In fact, if he sees me on TikTok or somewhere with Kenzy, he just goes 'oh, whatever' like that. It actually makes me feel more amused, like that," she said.
Interestingly, Ummi also added that her boyfriend does not have any specific rules in their relationship, and his family also gives them the freedom to set those boundaries.Â
When asked about the term of endearment for her boyfriend, Ummi casually revealed that she calls him "bi."
Their relationship, which has lasted quite a while, is now entering a more serious phase. Hopefully, they can stand side by side at the altar.
"Yes, just pray for us, there hasn't been any talk in that direction yet. The important thing is, hopefully, the match is there, the path is clear, not too forced, just go with the flow. If it’s meant to be, it will find a way," said Ummi.
