The couple Al Ghazali and Alyssa Daguise just welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Sunday morning, May 10, 2026. The delivery process at JWCC Asih Hospital left a lasting impression on Maia Estianty.
Maia, who visited the hospital, admitted to being very proud to see the maturity of her eldest son. Al Ghazali is considered very dedicated in accompanying his wife through the crucial moments of childbirth.
"Happy because he (Al Ghazali) accompanies me 24 hours," said Maia Estianty when met at JWCC Hospital, South Jakarta, Monday (11/5/2026).
Not only praising Al Ghazali's attitude, Maia also expressed her pride in Alyssa Daguise. This is because Alyssa chose to undergo a normal childbirth process that took quite a long time.
"Yes, that's it, because being normal is extraordinary, right? So, I'm happy to follow the process, the process from hours before," said Maia.
Alyssa's struggle to give birth to Soleil Zephora Ghazali naturally reminded Maia of the spirit of mothers in the past. She believes her daughter-in-law's fighting spirit deserves a thumbs up for going through a not easy process.
"Yes, I'm happy, because I have a daughter who has the fighting spirit like all of us in the past who wanted to struggle for a normal birth, it feels great," she said.
