When met after attending a hearing at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (19/2/2025), Marini shared her perspective. She emphasized that Daffa's closeness with anyone is a normal thing. Here are the details.
"As for me, my child is already an adult, and getting to know some friends is, in my opinion, a normal right. Daffa is also a child who stays at home, he always tells me stories. As for the rumors, I think anything that becomes something good is fine," said Marini.
As a mother, Marini sees Ariel Tatum as a good figure. She also mentioned that Ariel often provides support to Daffa, who is focusing on the acting world. "For me, I see Ariel Tatum as a kind and friendly person, and she has been in acting longer. My child is currently in the acting world, so she often gives support. I just pray for the best for my child," said Marini.
Although she claims to support her child's relationship, Marini is reluctant to make a firm statement on whether Ariel meets the criteria for the desired daughter-in-law. "As a mother, my husband and I always pray for what is best for Daffa," she added.
Marini also refused to provide further confirmation regarding the status of Daffa and Ariel's relationship. She asked the media to directly ask her child. "Well, don't ask me," she said with a smile.
On the other hand, Marini emphasizes the importance of respecting Daffa's privacy as an adult individual. For her, the most important thing is to support her child's choices as long as they have a positive impact.
"If Daffa is close to anyone, I think that is his right. As a parent, my duty is to provide prayers and support the best decisions for him," explained Marini.
So far, neither Daffa nor Ariel has made an official statement regarding their relationship status. However, support from the extended family seems to be an important asset for Daffa's career and personal life moving forward.
