Kapanlagi.com - The Indonesian rock band, Kotak, is preparing to hold a concert titled 'Two Decades of Kotak Concert' on November 23, 2024, at the GBK Basketball Hall, Senayan, Jakarta. This concert marks their existence in the homeland for 20 years.
The presence of the Two Decades of Kotak Concert originated from an idea to create something during their 20-year career journey. This idea was welcomed by Bersama Management, the place where Kotak is based, which collaborated with Northstar Entertainment and Megapro Communication as promoters and Event Organizers.
"I never expected Kotak would last for 20 years. Then, I had a small dream about three or four months ago to create something that is memorable. In our two decades, we received great support from many people," said Tantri Kotak during a press conference in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, on Monday (11/11).
The long journey of Kotak in the Indonesian music industry has certainly not been smooth. There have been many ups and downs faced by Tantri, Cella, and Chua throughout their careers. However, the strong support from management and, of course, their fans, the Kotak family, has been a source of strength for Tantri and the others to continue creating.
This was conveyed by Chua when asked about memorable moments and the secret to Kotak's existence for 20 years.
"I joined Kotak when it was 4 years old. We are not just a band; we are like family. We learn to grow up here. What keeps us going until now is that there are friends who have lost hope, but through Kotak's songs, they find the spirit to live again. From that, we feel grateful, alhamdulillah, it turns out our songs have a big impact on their lives," said Chua.
The upcoming concert is a gift from Kotak for Indonesian music lovers and also for the Kotak family. Therefore, the concert is guaranteed to be festive with a repertoire of 24 songs over approximately two hours, wrapped in a stunning stage concept, sound, and lighting.
"We are happy to collaborate with Kotak because we have known each other and have collaborated with Kotak several times. We are preparing a stage design that will definitely be special. We are trying to apply what the Kotak friends have conveyed. We are trying to accommodate what Kotak wants," explained Ahmad Qomaru Zaman, the Head of Activation Communications from Megapro Communication.
Meanwhile, Richard Paulana, as a representative of Northstar Entertainment, feels honored to collaborate in this historic moment for Kotak. "It is a pride for us to be involved in a concert that has given significant spirit to the youth of Indonesia," he said.
To celebrate this historic moment, Kotak is inviting several collaborators to take the stage. Among them are Marcello Tahitoe, Yacko, and Sara Wijayanto. Not to be missed, Kotak will also collaborate with the child of renowned musician Pay BIP.
"For the collaborators, the ease of reaching them is one of the considerations. Ello is indeed in the same management, and we feel he is very suitable with Kotak. Then, Yacko and Sara have a close relationship with us," said Aldi Novianto, the manager of Kotak and also the founder of Bersama Entertainment.
Currently, tickets for the Two Decades of Kotak concert have sold about 70 percent. Tickets can still be obtained on the official website for 300 thousand rupiah (tribune) and 350 thousand rupiah (Festival).
