Mediation of Angga Wijaya and Nurul Kamaria Declared Failed

The divorce hearing between Nurul Kamaria and her husband, Angga Wijaya, was held again at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Tuesday (28/4/2026). The agenda for this session is the report on the mediation results that had been scheduled by the judges previously.

"The mediation result was a failure because when called, he didn't come, so the mediator stated that it was a failure," said Igor Renjana, the attorney for Nurul Kamaria, when met at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

Nurul Kamaria's side, through her attorney, explained that her client's absence was not without reason. Nurul feels that her interests are sufficiently represented by the legal team. Moreover, she remains steadfast in her position in accordance with the points outlined in the divorce petition that has been submitted.

"The reason he didn't come is that he feels sufficiently represented by me. He stated that it aligns with the lawsuit. He told me that the important thing is to continue with the lawsuit," said Igor Renjana.

Regarding the main reason for the divorce, the legal counsel confirmed the existence of ongoing disputes within their household.

The difficult-to-resolve internal conflict became the main trigger for Nurul to decide to end the marriage that previously seemed harmonious.

"What is certain is what I have mentioned before, basically it's just arguments, continuous fighting, a lot of things that don't align with each other's visions," explained Igor Renjana.

Now the plaintiff only wants to focus on the legal process so that the divorce can be decided by the panel of judges soon. Nurul Kamaria hopes this process goes smoothly without any significant obstacles from the defendant.

"My client's desire is actually to just separate, yes, to separate. But for later, in accordance with his religious rules, we will just leave it to the council," concluded Igor Renjana.
