MGL Kurafest, the First Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Community Event with a Touch of Japanese Culture

MLBB continues to strive to develop its creator community, which is part of the MLBB Great Creation League Indonesia (MGL ID). MGL ID is a platform for Indonesian creators to express their talents through 4 divisions offered: Cosplayer, Fanartist, Writer, and Animator.

In an effort to develop this community, MLBB presents the first exclusive MLBB community event in Indonesia with a Japanese theme called 'MGL KURAFEST'. This event aims to reach the MLBB game lover community, creative creator community, and Japanese culture enthusiasts.

"MGL Kurafest is the first Jejepangan-themed event officially organized by MGL ID under the auspices of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, where we want to convey a message to players out there that MLBB provides an official platform for MLBB player communities who want to express themselves freely and creatively through art, including the creators from MGL ID themselves, and Japanese culture enthusiasts. We also present this event to respond to the aspirations of creators who want to gather together in an offline event to grow together," said Angelo Antonius, Community Manager of MGL ID from Moonton Indonesia.

"At the MGL KURAFEST event, we have prepared various exciting activities such as cosplay and fanart competitions, cosplay parades, as well as inviting MLBB guest stars and public figures to liven up this event. We hope this event can be a platform for creators to collaborate, innovate, and share inspiration," he added.

MGL KURAFEST will take place for 2 days on May 25-26, 2024, at the Galaxy Exhibition Center, Surabaya, East Java, where this event is open to the public and free of charge. Through MGL KURAFEST, MGL ID hopes to reach potential creators, expand the creator community, and celebrate the success of MLBB with its enthusiastic fans.

1. Getting to Know and Join the MGL Community

In this event, MGL aims to reach out to young people, especially Japanese culture enthusiasts, by introducing the four divisions, namely:

1. Cosplayer: Division for creators who enjoy costume play and bring MLBB characters to life.
2. Fanartist: A place for creators to channel their imagination in the MLBB game world through interesting artwork.
3. Writer: A platform for creators to pour their creativity into writing stories inspired by the MLBB world and share the phenomena of players.
4. Animator: Provides a platform for creators to bring MLBB characters to life through animation.

Visitors will be invited to explore more about the MGL ID community at the MGL Booth, where they can register as creators and find inspiration from the exhibition of works at the MGL Museum.

2. Collaboration with Influencers and Inviting Talented Performers

Several famous influencers and cosplayers will come and join MGL KURAFEST, Yogi Hadi Wibowo (Bobocu) and Vallene Laurencia (Vallene) will be present as guest stars for a fun match with the visitors. Besides Bobocu, there will also be influencers such as Jetsuki, Momo Rangga, Krisanti Comics, Cheeseberry, as well as other famous cosplayers and fanartists.

Various talented performers will also be present to liven up MGL KURAFEST. From HTONE, BABYMETAL SURABAYA, EG48 to Vibetronic, they will participate in making this event more exciting.

3. Grand Prize Smartphone in Fanart, Cosplay, and Fun Match Competitions

In MGL KURAFEST, the grand prize smartphone is the main highlight in the series of competitions, including the Fanart competition with the theme of MLBB hero customization and the Cosplay competition with the theme 'Be Your Inner Hero'. Both competitions have been opened online. The final and determination of winners will be held on May 26, 2024, through the Coswalk judging process by 20 selected cosplayers, and visitor polling for the Top 10 Fanartist works.

There are also several other interesting activities, such as the MLBB Fun Match with influencers, stamp rally, and Random Dance Party. This event will also feature a Cosplay Parade participated by all cosplayers present at the MGL KURAFEST event.
