Kapanlagi.com - The Miss Universe Indonesia 2024 event has concluded. The title of champion was awarded after the grand final, (19/9) Thursday night at The H Club, SCBD Jakarta.
Out of 14 contestants, Clara Shafira Krebs emerged as the champion. After that, she will represent Indonesia to compete in the Miss Universe 2024 event in November 2024 in Mexico.
During the event, the 14 contestants started with an opening dance session and an opening number, which served as a moment for the finalists to introduce themselves. After that, the jury immediately determined the top six who were eligible to advance to the next round.
The six finalists who advanced are Nadia Ingrida Tjuatja, Clara Shafira Krebs, Fiza Javaid Khan, Cinta Iole Amidjaja, Maria Ardelia Purwaningrum, and Moriska. The six of them were then faced with a speech session.
In this session, they had to answer questions from the jury. The performance of the finalists in this speech session became a consideration for the judges in determining which finalists would enter the top three or Top 3.
After the session, the judges decided to select Fiza, Clara, and Nadia to advance to the top three. After accumulating the scores, the judges finally agreed to announce the final results.
Nadia was named the second runner-up, leaving Clara and Fiza to be chosen as the winner. Ultimately, Clara was crowned Miss Universe Indonesia 2024 and Fiza as the first runner-up.
As a result, Clara then received the Miss Universe Indonesia 2024 crown handed over by the previous winner, Fabienne Nicole.
Clara was surprised and did not expect to become Miss Universe Indonesia 2024. She then expressed her gratitude to everyone who had helped her.
"Thank you all, this is truly amazing," said Clara.
"I never expected to become Miss Universe Indonesia. Once again, thank you for trusting me, I hope I can fulfill this trust," she continued.
In addition, before the final night, the finalists of Miss Universe Indonesia 2024, which shrank to 14 finalists from the original 16 finalists, had entered the quarantine stage since Saturday, September 14, 2024.
