Mita The Virgin Has Not Returned Home Since Her Mother Passed Away

Kapanlagi.com - The departure of her beloved mother, Emmy Sofyana, has left a deep sorrow for Mita The Virgin. The mother of the Jakarta-born musician passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, and was buried at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta.

More than a week after her mother passed away, Mita admitted that she has not been able to return to the home she shared with the late mother. She still chooses to stay with her younger sister to avoid the deepening sense of loss.

1. Mita Hasn't Come Home Yet

"I can't go home yet, I'm still at my younger sibling's house. I'm still not strong enough, because I live just the two of us with mom. So not yet, I still feel uncomfortable," said Mita The Virgin in Tendean area, South Jakarta, Monday (7/7/2025).

2. Trying Not to Dwell Too Much in Grief

As much as possible, Mita tries to keep herself from being too engulfed in grief that drains her emotions. She realizes that her mother's passing is a fate that must be accepted with an open heart.

"Yes, I don't want to be sad. Mom is also at peace, she is calm now. So I'm still outside the house, I was at my younger sibling's house for about 7 days," said Mita.

3. Still Feels Like a Dream

The loss of someone who has always been by her side makes Mita feel disoriented. She admits that she still can't believe that her mother is truly gone.

"Right now, it still feels like a dream to me, I still can’t believe it, right? It’s only been 7 days, so I’m still disoriented," she said.

4. Not Yet Visited in a Dream

One thing she has never experienced since her mother's passing is being visited in a dream. However, the last memory through a dream actually occurred a day before her mother passed away.

"I dreamt of my mom just a day before she died. In the dream, she seemed healthy, since she had been in bed for 2 months unable to do anything, so in the dream, it was like she could get up, looking fresh. It turned out to be like a farewell," Mitha revealed.

5. Helped by the Work Schedule

Although still in mourning, Mitha continues to try to maintain her emotional balance. She feels helped by the increasingly packed work schedule, which can somewhat divert her attention.

6. There’s Distraction from Sadness

"So thank God I was given a lot of work after my mom passed away, so I have many activities, right? It can be a distraction. So I’m not too sad," she said.
