More Than Previous Concerts, Ahmad Dhani Says Dewa 19 All Stars Ready to Accommodate 85 Thousand Spectators

Kapanlagi.com - Dewa 19 All Stars concert is ready to be held at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (12/8). All preparations have been made to ensure the smooth running of this concert.

When met at a press conference in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (10/8), Sysan Ibrahim, CEO of Otello Asia, revealed that the Dewa 19 All Stars concert will be held in a luxurious manner. They even target a large number of spectators, more than the previous Dewa 19 concert held at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

"We target (the number of spectators) to be more than (the concert) at JIS," said Sysan Ibrahim.

1. There Will Be 85 Thousand Spectators

On the same occasion, Ahmad Dhani did not hesitate to mention that there will be 85 thousand spectators who will fill the GBK area. So far, he added that the available tickets are only around 5 thousand tickets.

"If in JIS it's 70 thousand, now 85 thousand is 15 thousand more than JIS," said Ahmad Dhani.

"There are still 5 thousand tickets left, only in the tribune category, buy them today and tomorrow," he continued.

In addition, the preparation for the Dewa 19 All Stars concert at GBK has reached 95 percent. The musicians involved in the Dewa 19 Featuring All Star concert at GBK are Ahmad Dhani, Andra Ramadhan, Yuke Sampurna, Agung "Gimbal", Tyo Nugros, Ari Lasso, Marcello Tahitoe, Virzha, Shandy Sandoro, Lyodra, Phil X (Bon Jovi guitarist), Dino Jelusick (vocalist of Whitesnake band), Richie Kotzen (guitarist of The Winery Dogs, Poison, and Mr.Big), and Derek Sherinian former member of the metal band, Dream Theater.

After a long hiatus, Dewa 19 finally held a concert. However, their tour in several cities had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the pandemic subsided, Ahmad Dhani and his colleagues once again entertained the Baladewa fans throughout Indonesia.

This concert, celebrating Dewa 19's 30 years in the Indonesian music industry, visited 30 cities across Indonesia and concluded in Jakarta, specifically at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

For the first time, Dewa successfully sold 65 thousand tickets for their concert at JIS in just 15 minutes. This achievement made Dewa 19 the first Indonesian band to hold a concert in a large stadium with a capacity of tens of thousands. Dewa was also honored as the only stadium band in Indonesia.

Following the success of their 30th-anniversary concert, Dewa held another concert with an upgraded concept. It took place in three cities: Solo, Jakarta, and Surabaya, and was titled Dewa 19 - A Night At The Orchestra.

Lastly, Dewa 19 feat All Star brought in top world musicians to perform together with Dewa and entertain Dewa 19 fans.
