Mpok Alpa's Husband Admits He Is Not Strong Enough to Enter the Bedroom, Still Sleeping in the Living Room

The departure of Mpok Alpa left a deep wound for her husband, Adji Darmaji alias Idung. The shadows of memories with his wife during their 12 years of marriage are still very vivid in his mind, making him unable to return to their bedroom.

Since Mpok Alpa passed away on Friday (15/8/2025), Idung admitted he chose to sleep in the living room. Every corner of the bedroom reminds him of the late wife, making him feel weak and helpless.

"Until now, I haven't entered the room. I haven't been to the house over there," said Idung when met at his residence in Ciganjur, South Jakarta, on Monday (18/8/2025).

"Because my memory is, oh, very this, weak when I remember that, right? Because it really reminds me of Mpok," he continued with a trembling voice.

Even for taking clothes, Idung has to ask for help from his housekeeper. He truly does not have the strength to step into the room filled with beautiful memories with his wife.

"So until now I haven't gone up to my room in this house either. I still sleep in the living room. I ask for clothes, ask for a sarong, ask for a cap, and the maid gets them for me," he said.

The feeling of sorrow he felt was so strong that he questioned how his children were doing when he, as a father, felt so fragile.

"I'm not strong enough either, like that. Personally, I, as a father, am not strong like that, and as a husband, how about the children, well, like that," he said softly.

Not only the room, Idung and the family are also still discussing plans to move into the new dream house of Mpok Alpa. Seeing that house makes it feel as if the late figure is still there."How do you see that house? It feels like she is still there, like that," he concluded.
