Nephew and Cousin Teuku Rifnu Becomes Hit-and-Run Victim, Suffering Broken Bones, Perpetrator Already Captured

Kapanlagi.com - Nephew and cousin of actor Teuku Rifnu Wikana experienced a hit-and-run incident in Pematang Siantar, North Sumatra, on Sunday (14/4/2024). Teuku Rifnu revealed the condition of his nephew and cousin.

The cast of the film Sultan Agung: Tahta, Perjuangan, Cinta mentioned that two of his nephews, Teuku Rey and Cut Arifa, suffered severe injuries. Rey suffered a broken right leg and Cut Arifa had injuries to her fingers. Meanwhile, the other three cousins suffered minor injuries.

"My siblings' children, Cut Arifa and Teuku Rey, were involved. Arifa still needs to have her fingers X-rayed because they might be broken. And Rey's leg is broken in the middle, not at the knee. It might have been crushed," said Teuku Rifnu when contacted by the media on Tuesday (16/4/2024).

1. Injuries

Teuku Rifnu said that his nephew has undergone an examination, as well as his three cousins. Including Rey, who has undergone a surgery to install a leg brace.

"If Rey had the surgery at 5 p.m. yesterday, the brace was already inserted in his leg, the right leg if I'm not mistaken. It was immediately operated on because his mother didn't want to wait," said Teuku Rifnu.

"As for his older brother, thankfully his leg is fine, only his fingers are injured. As for the other three cousins, one of them is still traumatized, bleeding from the head, and still unable to speak," added Teuku Rifnu.

2. Already Arrested

Teuku Rifnu stated that the perpetrator who hit his nephew and cousins has been arrested by the local police. Based on information from the family, Teuku Rifnu mentioned that the investigation of the perpetrator is still ongoing.

“Yes, he has been reported to the police. So, coincidentally, I immediately contacted (tagged on Instagram) the mayor, and there were also police officers," concluded Teuku Rifnu.
