Kapanlagi.com - The production house MD Pictures is once again showcasing its prowess with the preparation of its latest film titled LA TAHZAN. During the event to release the final poster and original soundtrack (OST), the producer, Manoj Punjabi, revealed an interesting fact behind the selection of the singer for the film's theme song.
Manoj Punjabi firmly stated that the decision to appoint Marshanda, who is also the main actress, as the singer for the OST came from an unexpected source, namely the netizens.
"Sorry, we got this inspiration from netizens too, from fans asking when we post the poster, who is the singer? So the inspiration started from there," Manoj Punjabi said at the event held in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday (4/7/2025).

He explained that every time his team uploads promotional content for the film, the comment section is always flooded with requests for Marshanda to sing the song, considering she plays the central character, Alina.
"So the netizens are asking why not Marshanda, why not Alina. So there are those comments," he added.

For Manoj, choosing the song and singer for a major film is not an easy task. He has high standards to ensure that the song is not only pleasant to listen to but also able to blend with the film's narrative on the big screen.
"I usually want the songs for this big film to be box office productions and the renowned creators must be finalized," he asserted.

This collaboration is a comeback moment he has been eagerly waiting for. He feels that the right formula between film, song, and singer has finally been found for this big project.
"For the first time collaborating on this big project, I am very very excited and thank you that we have found the formula," said Manoj enthusiastically.
