The film ARWAH not only offers jumpscares, but also deep emotions about loss, family, and reconciliation. The cast reveals personal sides of their experiences during filming that further strengthen the meaning of this film.
"The feeling of longing to go home is real. The family aspect, the longing for home, parents, that’s what it’s about. That’s the reason I accepted this film," said Annete Edoarda, who plays Momo, the youngest sibling struggling with her final college project when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Monday (30/6/2025).
Irsyadillah, who plays Angga, feels that the character he portrays is very relatable to him as someone who struggles in the midst of a career but still has a longing for family moments.
"Angga really wants to give back to his family. But he is held back by worldly matters. Until finally, there is the loss of his younger sibling that makes Angga go home," he said.
