Horror Film 'LORONG KOST' Presents Mystical Terror Behind the Door of a Room Ready to Haunt the Audience

The story of Lorong Kost centers on Tika, a young woman who moves to a cheap boarding house to survive amidst life's pressures. However, that decision drags her into a series of disturbing supernatural events.

"Lorong Kost is a representation of the everyday fears that we often ignore. I believe everyone has heard horror stories about boarding houses," said JAP Elline, producer from Minka Rosie Production.

"But beyond that, this film also talks about loneliness, trauma, and hope. We are excited to bring Indonesian horror to a more cinematic and emotional level," she added.

As the main actress, Nadhira Hill admitted to experiencing many unusual things during the shooting process. She recounted how the atmosphere of the location truly sent shivers down her spine.

"The shooting location was truly eerie. Sometimes the sounds we heard did not come from the crew. There were times we shot in complete silence, and then suddenly we heard a door knock even though everyone was in the same location," Nadhira revealed.

The supernatural experience was also acknowledged by senior actress Yati Surachman, who starred in this film. She believes that Lorong Kost successfully presents a classic horror atmosphere that still feels fresh for today's audiences.

"This film brings a classic horror aura but remains fresh. Lorong Kost will make the audience reluctant to sleep alone after watching it," said Yati.

The gala premiere of this film took place in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm. The audience's reactions in the cinema showed real tension, ranging from fearful whispers, sudden screams, to applause when the film ended.

This film is scheduled to be released simultaneously in cinemas across Indonesia starting June 26, 2025. Horror fans can get ready to experience the tension from the dark and silent corridor that holds unexpected secrets.
