Comedian Elly Sugigi revealed several artists who have greatly contributed to her life. They came and provided assistance when she truly needed it, both in times of illness and other urgent needs.
Aside from that, Elly admitted that she is often invited out to eat by her friends. However, she feels somewhat hesitant to directly ask for financial help.
"Those who invite me to eat often do. But those who give money might think I am rich. So asking for money feels a bit awkward," she said.
One of the figures Elly remembers most is Inara Rusli. She does not hesitate to mention Inara as someone who once provided sincere help when she fell ill.
"Who has ever helped me, huh? Inara, Inara I was sick yesterday she gave, not lent," said Elly when met in the Cibubur area, East Jakarta, Sunday (22/6/2025).
Not only Inara, Elly also mentioned the name Irma Darmawangsa. According to her, Irma and her friends from the gathering once provided a loan for important needs such as processing passports and visas.
"Irma Darmawangsa, so for example, 'Ma, I want to make a visa or passport, I need to borrow 50 - 100 million from Irma and my gathering friends, then I will pay it back, like that. To cover the capital too," said Elly Sugigi.
Elly also recounted the kindness of Baim Wong, who once came to provide significant help when she was in need. In fact, Baim had advised that the aid should be used wisely and not publicized
"Oh, Baim Wong is the best. Baim Wong helped me a lot when I was in trouble, giving me a huge amount of money. Use that money wisely. If anything happens, talk to me. And don't talk about it in the media," reminisced Elly.
Meanwhile, Elly also mentioned Raffi Ahmad's name. She admitted that she hasn't had the chance to ask Raffi for help directly because she feels shy and hasn't found the right moment.
"I haven't met Raffi again until now since he got promoted (to special staff). I want to ask him for help, but I'm too shy to bring it up. Just meeting is already difficult, right? When I'm on location, I just greet him saying 'Hey Raffi, Hey Raffi,' but when it comes to personal conversations asking for help, I don't," Elly said, then laughed.
Although she has never asked directly, Elly holds on to the hope that one day she can express her needs to Raffi. She even joked about wanting a piece of land as a gift.
"Raffi is always everywhere, right? I really want to go to Raffi, 'A please help me, I want to marry this child, I don't have a house yet, maybe I could get a 50-meter plot of land, hahahahahahhaha," Elly said while laughing.
