Atiqah admitted that she had difficulty delving into a character that was far from her personality. Moreover, this is her first time playing the role of a shaman.

"I tried to share a lot of stories with the writer and director. I kept researching on the internet what an abortion shaman is like," said the wife of actor Rio Dewanto.

To understand the background of Nyi Itoh, Atiqah also explored the world of mysticism and black magic practices in Indonesia, including the extreme things that the character does in the film.

"Of course, I had to research and learn a bit about black magic for Nyi Itoh's background. It turns out that this shaman takes from the community's relationship with mysticism in Indonesia, including consuming fetal remains," she said.

During the shooting process, there was an extreme scene that Atiqah had to go through. She even admitted that she almost vomited because of the disgusting demands of the scene.   "It's a secret. Just during the scene, I just had to swallow it even if I vomited a little," said the daughter of activist Ratna Sarumpaet.

Although it was tough, Atiqah admitted she felt challenged because this film is different from most of her acting projects. She wants to present a cinematic experience that scares the audience. "Moreover, the quality of horror films is getting better and it's rare to act in horror films," she said.
