This sentence is much lighter than the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU), who previously requested that Nikita be sentenced to 11 years in prison and a fine of Rp 2 billion.

In its consideration, the Panel of Judges stated that Nikita Mirzani was proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing a criminal act of deliberately and without rights distributing and/or transmitting electronic information, with the threat of defamation.

"The sentence imposed on the defendant is therefore imprisonment for 4 years and a fine of 1 billion rupiah," said the Chief Judge while reading the decision.

The judge also stipulated that if the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with a detention sentence of 3 months. In addition, the time already served by Nikita will be deducted from the total sentence."With the provision that if the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with a detention sentence of 3 months," he added.

As is known, Nikita Mirzani sat in the defendant's chair after being reported by the beauty doctor, Reza Gladys. This case began from a feud on social media that ended with a police report on allegations of extortion and Money Laundering (TPPU).

This much lighter sentence is certainly a "victory" in itself for Nikita Mirzani's side.

However, her fate is not yet fully final. Both Nikita's side and the public prosecutor still have time to consider whether to accept this decision or pursue the next legal step, which is an appeal.
