Nirina Zubir's First Kiss Scene During Her Career in the Series 'Ratu Ratu Queens'

Kapanlagi.com - Senior actress Nirina Zubir revealed a new experience in her acting career that has spanned decades. For the first time, she performed a kissing scene in her latest project, a Netflix series titled "Ratu Ratu Queens the Series".

"This is my first scene, really the first, first kiss," said Nirina Zubir during a press conference in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Friday (12/9/2025).

This 45-year-old actress admitted that she has always refused offers for similar scenes. Her decision to finally accept the challenge was based on careful consideration and strong reasons from the story in the series.

"Na (the nickname of Nirina Zubir) has never done this scene because actually in the past, Na always thought like, 'Is there a strong reason to do this?' you know," said Nirina

Nirina explained that her character, Parti, has a backstory that makes the scene relevant and important for character development. Although this is her first experience, Nirina feels lucky because her co-star, Michael Notardonato, was very professional.

"What is certain, thank you very much to Michael who always brushes his teeth and doesn't eat garlic before shooting. He has helped me a lot," said Nirina jokingly.

Nirina also admitted that she felt nervous before the scene was filmed. However, Michael's understanding attitude managed to calm her down so that the scene could go smoothly.

"Because this was my first time doing a kissing scene, and I told him that I was nervous, and he said, 'It’s okay, it’s okay, just calm down'. So he really helped Nirina a lot," he explained.

Furthermore, Nirina emphasized that mental preparation and permission from her husband, Ernest Cokelat, were crucial factors before she accepted the offer for this role.
