No Income Before Selling Bakso Cilok on the Side of the Road, Sidik Eduard: Confused Just to Eat

Kapanlagi.com - Sidik Edward apparently experienced how bitter it is when the family's economy is below par. Moreover, job offers in the entertainment world are really scarce, so Sidik Eduard had to think hard to make ends meet.

When met in the Kalisari area, East Jakarta, on Saturday (13/7), the 27-year-old actor who now sells bakso cilok on the side of the road recounted how his small family experienced that bitter moment. He said that due to the lack of income, he was even confused about his daily meals.

1. No Money

Not only that, Sidik admitted that he doesn't have a single penny to buy his children's needs such as milk. He and his wife and two children have to share one packet of rice with their own cilok side dish.

"It's like, even for meals, I'm confused. I can't even bring my child to the hospital, I can't buy milk," said Sidik Eduard.

"The first time we started selling, we used the money to buy rice (white rice) for 5,000 at a food stall, with cilok as the side dish, enough for the four of us," he continued.

2. Few Shooting Offers

When asked further, Sidik explained that there were indeed shooting job offers, but not as many as before. Sometimes, the shooting fee runs out before a new job comes in.

"There are some, but not like before. It's really rare now, most of the time I'm unemployed. And when the payment comes, it's gone immediately," he said.

3. Increasingly Popular Trade

Over time, the sale of bakso cilok is attracting more buyers. Sidik Eduard also plans to sell his bakso cilok online.

"Alhamdulillah, I also want to open a new business selling instant products on social media, so I can sell online while still maintaining my physical store," he said.
