Jaka is a subordinate of Pak Baroto, played by Eko Dj. Jaka's funny behavior always made the audience excited. After a long silence, this 64-year-old artist is still active in the art world.

Although still active in the art world, Yusuf Surya rarely gets soap opera jobs on television. So, how does Yusuf Surya meet his daily needs? Moreover, until now, he still relies on income from the art world alone.

"Alhamdulillah, from the period of 94 until now, I am still involved in the arts. Well, in terms of relying on it, there are still savings from before," said Yusuf Surya when met in the Munjul area, East Jakarta, recently.

1. Open the Savings Account

"Yes, I built a two-door rental house. The hundreds are owned by someone else. Well, it's understandable, artists are still poor, haha. But I'm just grateful," Yusuf Surya added, then laughed.

Yusuf Surya realizes that being an artist won't last forever. Therefore, Yusuf Surya saves his income from shooting the soap opera Jinny Oh Jinny.

"That's since the end of the Jinny Oh Jinny soap opera in 2005. As soon as we finish, we open our savings account," he said.

Not only buying land and building rental houses, but also from the shooting of the Jinny Oh Jinny soap opera, Yusuf Surya bought a vehicle that he still uses daily.

"Alhamdulillah, we have separated everything. This is for the child's insurance, this is for building rental houses, and then we buy a vehicle, even though it's cheap, the important thing is to buy it for its function, not for its prestige," he said.

2. Still Exist

Once again, Yusuf Surya is grateful that what he has gained from the soap opera can still be used until now.

"Alhamdulillah it still exists until now, in 2005 the vehicle is still there. The motorcycle from 2004 is still there. Alhamdulillah," he said.

Yusuf admitted that the biggest income during his career in the entertainment industry came from the soap opera Jinny Oh Jinny.

3. Still Engaged in Art

"Yes, it's true from Jinny Oh Jinny. Alhamdulillah it still exists until now. There is still a piece of land, two or three plots like that. It's still there. Well, it's not really poor," he said.

Although he is no longer appearing on television, it doesn't mean that Yusuf Surya has stopped from the entertainment industry.

"Still, I am still selling rice there. Basically, whatever is related to art, I like it. I also don't rule out the possibility of working with friends who are traditional, I often collaborate with traditional artists. For example, recently I went to Makassar, to Tenggarong, they brought their traditions, and I brought the cheap artist," he concluded.
