Not Because of Criminal Cases, Jerinx is Imprisoned Because He Doesn't Have 15 Billion Rupiah for Adam Deni

Kapanlagi.com - Drummer of the band Superman Is Dead, I Gede Aryastina or better known as Jerinx SID read out a plea or defense note during the trial of the case of electronic media threats against Adam Deni at the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (22/2/2022).

Previously, Nora Alexandra's husband was sentenced to two years in prison by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Central Jakarta District Court. In his defense note, the 45-year-old musician read out seven important points in front of the panel of judges.

Jerinx emphasizes that he is involved in a legal case not because of committing a criminal act. However, Jerinx is unable to fulfill one of the conditions for reconciliation proposed by the reporter, Adam Deni.

"Actually, I wouldn't be sitting in this chair (court) if I could fulfill Adam Deni's request for 15 billion rupiah. I am sitting here not because I am a wicked or sadistic criminal but because I am not a billionaire," said Jerinx at the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (22/2/2022).

1. Jerinx Ready to Conduct a Lie Detector Test

Before the case went to trial, Adam Deni asked for a settlement of Rp 15 billion from Jerinx. The request occurred during a mediation between Adam Deni and Jerinx and his father at a hotel in South Jakarta in November 2021.

"Adam and his girlfriend clearly lied about the content of our meeting at the Raffles hotel. My father and I are ready to conduct a lie detector test to prove what happened at that time," said Jerinx.

2. Jerinx Once Contemplated Suicide

In his plea, Jerinx also admitted that he had contemplated ending his life because of the case. Furthermore, the settlement amount proposed by Adam Deni can be considered exorbitant, amounting to 15 billion.

"Sorry, it's a bit dark, we almost committed suicide, my wife and I really felt helpless and confused because we had no money, prison was waiting again, my wife and I were really at the lowest point," he said.

3. Saved by His Wife

Jerinx admitted that if Nora Alexandra hadn't stopped him at that time, he might not be alive anymore.

"Mr. Gendo (Jerinx's lawyer) witnessed what I did and saw the scars. Fortunately, I was saved by my wife, so I can still breathe today," added Jerinx.

4. Nora Alexandra's Depression

Not only that, Jerinx's wife, Alexandra, also experienced depression due to the case that befell her until she ended up in jail. Jerinx mentioned that his wife suffered from tremendous depression, illness, and went without eating for days.

"Besides me, my wife also experienced extraordinary depression, illness, and couldn't eat for days. Not to mention that we had to spend money to travel back and forth between Jakarta and Bali, mediate, and undergo investigations for this case. Adam Deni has a track record of extortion against public figures," concluded Jerinx.
