Not Officially Divorced! The Court States Azizah Salsha Still Has 14 Days to File an Objection

Kapanlagi.com - Although the divorce lawsuit of Pratama Arhan has been decided by the panel of judges at the Tigaraksa Religious Court, the marriage status of the athlete with Azizah Salsha has not yet completely ended. There are still several legal stages that must be passed before both officially hold the status of widower and widow.

Sholahuddin, as the spokesperson for the Tigaraksa Religious Court, clarified that the decision made on Monday (25/8/2025) is not a final divorce verdict. The decision is a grant of permission for Pratama Arhan to pronounce the divorce declaration.

"Not yet, this is just approved for him to read his declaration," said Sholahuddin.

1. New Divorce Talak

Furthermore, he explained that in the process of divorce talak (a lawsuit from the husband), after the decision is made, there is still a grace period given to the defendant, namely Azizah Salsha, to determine her stance.

"She is only allowed to divorce talak, to pronounce her vows, so not yet, there is still time, 14 days ahead to file an objection," he explained.

2. Azizah Has Two Weeks

This means that Azizah Salsha still has the opportunity for the next two weeks to file an objection or resistance to the default judgment. If there is no objection during that period, then the decision will become legally binding.

"If she does not file an objection, then there will be a BHT, legally binding, and then it will be determined when her vow hearing will be," said Sholahuddin.

3. Waiting for the Divorce Declaration

After the final legal decision (BHT), the court will reschedule a hearing with the agenda of the divorce declaration by Pratama Arhan. Only after the divorce declaration is made in front of the panel of judges will both parties officially be divorced according to religious and state law. When asked about the possible outcomes, the court was reluctant to speculate.

"We do not accept speculations, yes. So it will remain legally binding for the next 14 days, that’s it," they concluded.
