Novi Umar, the Creator of the Song 'Aku Bukan Boneka', Doesn't Know About the Take Down of Kekeyi's Music Video from Youtube

Kapanlagi.com - The music video of Kekeyi's song Keke Bukan Boneka that has recently caught public attention can no longer be accessed. Apparently, the debut single of the beauty vlogger from Nganjuk has been taken down by YouTube due to copyright claim.

The disappearance of the video, which has been viewed more than 17 million times in just 5 days, not only surprised netizens but also Novi Umar, the creator of the song Aku Bukan Boneka. He claimed to have no knowledge of the issue regarding the disappearance of the music video that is considered similar to Rinni Wulandari's single from 2008.

"I didn't even know. I only found out last night through social media," said Novi Umar when contacted by phone on Friday (5/6/2020).

"I was also surprised when it was taken down last night. Then in the morning, there was a screenshot from Kevin, Kekeyi said she didn't delete it. As far as I know, YouTube also has strict rules," he continued.

1. Choose the Family Path

Novi Umar revealed that she was given a choice regarding copyright issues by Sony Music. Personally, she prefers to take the family path with various considerations.

"So after talking with Sony Music, actually from the beginning I was given a choice, 'What do you want to do?'. I said, 'Don't (go to court) because it's better to discuss it within the family'. Because here, there is also the result of Kekeyi's hard work, let's just talk within the family. That's why Sony Music feels they have to do something," she said.

2. Have Forgiven Kekeyi

Before the Keke Bukan Boneka music video disappeared from YouTube, Kekeyi contacted and apologized to Novi Umar through DM on social media. Novi Umar accepted this goodwill gesture positively.

"On that Sunday, Kekeyi sent me a DM. She apologized. But I have forgiven her. I leave everything to Sony Music. This is now Sony Music's matter because it's their asset," said Novi Umar.

3. Fully Entrust to Sony Music

Although Novi has forgiven the owner of the full name Rahmawati Kekeyi Putri Cantikka, she still leaves the final decision of this issue to Sony Music as the owner of the assets. Until now, she still wants to discuss this matter in a familial manner with Kekeyi.

"I have entrusted it to Sony from the beginning, it's not a problem for me," said Novi Umar.

"From my side, until this moment, I want to talk nicely. I don't mind. I have entrusted it to Sony from the beginning," she concluded.
