Coach Gregoria, Imam Tohari, revealed that despite just getting married, Gregoria shows a high commitment to training.
"On Friday, she went to Bandung for the blessing, and on Sunday, she (Gregoria Mariska) had the reception. It's impossible to train on Monday (February 23), she must be on leave. At the very least, she should be back by Wednesday," added Imam.
"I hope she starts training on Tuesday (Gregoria has started training) but she will definitely be mentally tired. But she must be back by Wednesday," he continued.
In the last two editions of the All England, Gregoria reached the quarter-finals. In 2023 and 2024, she was stopped by strong opponents like Chen Yufei and Akane Yamaguchi. Her performance in this tournament will be an important consideration for the selection of the Sudirman Cup, which will take place next April.
"The essence of her performance can also be seen there (European tour). Because this is also a team match, right, the Sudirman Cup. So it's very important. The mental factor is also very necessary. The results are important, but the performance on the court is what matters most," said Imam.
