Olla Ramlan Becomes a Kyai's Child in the Series 'WALID 2'

The character Raras Kartika, portrayed by Olla Ramlan in the series WALID SEASON 2, successfully captures attention. Olla plays the role of a Kyai's child with a strong personality and a tendency to be sarcastic. One of the most memorable dialogues for the audience is when her character talks about the status of a wife in the household of the main character.

Olla showcases her stunning acting skills when facing one of Walid's wives. With a cold expression, she delivers a very bold statement about her position if she were truly part of that family. This dialogue was met with enthusiastic applause from the guests present.

"Oh no. If I were Walid's wife, you and the other two wives would not be Walid's wives because I would be Walid's only wife," said Olla Ramlan mimicking her dialogue in the Senayan area on Thursday (26/2/2026).

Olla explained that her character is indeed designed to be a provocative figure but with a broad background in religious knowledge. This role requires her to appear authoritative yet manipulative. She admitted that she really likes the character Raras because it has an interesting psychological depth to portray.

"Because my character here is somewhat... until I forget to talk about the character. A bit sarcastic, you know, a bit condescending but I actually know a lot because I am the child of a Kyai," she explained.

Another challenge faced by Olla is building chemistry with her co-star in a short amount of time. On the first day of shooting, she was even asked to perform a rather emotional scene right away. Although she hadn’t had the chance to establish a personal closeness, Olla remained professional in following the director's instructions.

"But at the moment of the first scene, the first scene is already a slapping scene again! With my husband, yes my husband is there, there was already a little clip of it. Oh, so it turned out that my husband said, 'This is the first scene and it's already a slapping scene, the chemistry hasn't been built yet,' you know," Olla revealed.

Through this character, Olla wants to convey that a woman should have strong principles. She hopes that the audience can take lessons from the conflicts that occur in the series. The series is scheduled to start airing at the end of February and is expected to be as successful as its first season.

"More or less, we should take the good from watching episodes 1 to 12, insyaallah, because a story doesn't have its thrill if there isn't any twist, right? So just take the good from it," concluded Olla Ramlan.
