"Yes, for the current situation, not praying in the mosque is more important than praying in the mosque. Because it concerns life, health, safety, it's dangerous," he said when contacted by phone on Wednesday (18/3).
"So don't worry, not praying in the mosque is equally important. So don't worry. It's okay not to go to the mosque. Because there are other rewards that cannot be obtained in normal situations," he added.
He also spoke about the restriction of Friday prayers in the mosque. Ustaz Yusuf Mansur said that he follows the fatwa and believes that MUI (Indonesian Ulema Council) has carefully considered the fatwa.
"Yes, so it becomes only Dhuhr prayer. Because it closes the doors of potential harm, as the title of the principle suggests, it is more important than seeking benefits. We follow the fatwa of MUI, which is a gathering of knowledgeable scholars and experts from various fields," he concluded.
