Ustaz Yusuf Mansur also expressed his opinion on the fatwa issued by MUI. He said that the fatwa must have been the result of a very thorough discussion.

1. Comprehensive Principles

"Yes, the principles used by teachers, ustazs, and kyais are definitely comprehensive principles. It's not just about discussing fiqh, but also related to fiqh. It is necessary to pay attention to health, dangers, benefits, emergencies, and so on," he said when contacted by phone on Wednesday (18/3).

"So from the beginning, since yesterday, I have already told my friends whoever they are. That if MUI decides, the decision will definitely be comprehensive. Because the discussion covers various angles, various fields. Including today's decision regarding the recommendation to pray at home only. Not only the five daily prayers, but also Friday prayers," he added.

2. Follow the Fatwa

He also spoke about the restriction of Friday prayers in the mosque. Ustaz Yusuf Mansur said that he follows the fatwa and believes that the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has carefully considered this fatwa.

"Yes, so it becomes only Dhuhr prayer. Because it closes the doors of backwardness, as the title of the rule says, it is more important than seeking benefits. Yes, we follow the fatwa of MUI, which is a gathering of knowledgeable scholars and experts from various fields," he concluded.
