Two Patients at RSSA Malang Confirmed Positive for Corona Covid-19

Kapanlagi.com - Two patients who were treated at Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSSA) Malang were confirmed positive for Covid-19. One patient is currently under treatment, while one has passed away.

Chairman of the Re-Emerging Infectious Disease Team RSSA Malang, Didi Chandradikusuma explained that out of the 8 swabs sent, two were confirmed positive. Meanwhile, 6 were negative.

"Out of the 8 sent, 2 are positive and 6 are negative," said Didi Chandradikusuma at RSSA Malang, Wednesday (18/3).

1. Total Patients

RSSA has also just received two patients whose swabs have just been sent. So the total number of patients is 10, including two whose results are still unknown.

"Out of those 10, 2 have died, one is positive and the other is negative. Meanwhile, the other 6 have been declared negative, and two are still awaiting their results," he explained.

2. Deceased Patients

Didi said that the deceased patient had a history of other illnesses, so it was not purely from being healthy and then being infected with Covid-19 and dying. However, one of the two deceased patients was swabbed and one of them was declared positive.

"Next, we will track the contacts who have been in close proximity or direct contact with the positive patient. Specimen examination will be conducted at Balitbangkes," he explained.

3. Already There are Improvements

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director of RSSA Malang, Syaifullah Asmiragani, stated that the results of the two newly sent swabs will be known in about two or three days. Meanwhile, one person who has been declared positive is currently getting better in treatment.

"One has improved, their condition is also positive," he said firmly.

The tracing process of contacts with positive Covid19 patients is expected not to increase the number of positive cases. RSSA, with a maximum capacity of 60 special Corona patients, is currently working hard to assist in the international outbreak.
