Paula Verhoeven Reports Alleged Irregularities in Divorce Ruling to MA's Bawas and the Judicial Commission

However, in its implementation, the procedure was not followed and was changed unilaterally. Paula's legal team claimed they were not informed about the changes to the trial system.

"But then in the implementation, Baim Wong and his legal counsel came to court and asked the Panel of Judges to open it and then conduct interviews with the media. Meanwhile, we as representatives of Paula were not informed about the changes to the trial system," he continued.

In addition to procedural issues, Paula's side also regretted the content of the decision that has been widely circulated to the public. According to their records, the decision is not final and is still in the minute-taking stage."Then the second issue we requested is related to the dissemination of excerpts or decisions that are claimed to be the divorce decision of Paula and Baim. Paula's legal team suspects that the dissemination of this unofficial document was done with malicious intent. They claim that this could tarnish her reputation and harm their client."However, it then spread in such a way that we found it was constructed for purposes with bad faith," he continued.

Therefore, the legal team requests that the MA RI supervisory body intervene to conduct an investigation. They assess that the dissemination of the document has violated procedures and has a negative impact on Paula's image as a public figure. "Thus, we request the supervisory body to examine this decision which should not have reached the public yet because it has not gone through the uploading process on putusan.go.id, has not followed the guidelines for uploading or processing a decision, yet it has already been consumed by the public. And the main concern is the potential discriminatory impact on women and children," he added.

Not only stopping at the MA Supervisory Board, Paula also reported this to the Judicial Commission (KY). The report was addressed to the panel of judges handling her case. The report relates to allegations of ethical violations by the judge presiding over the divorce proceedings between Paula and Baim. She hopes that KY can follow up on the report according to its authority."Thirdly, even if the court's decision is public. It cannot be published publicly, but there must be an anonymization process," she said.

In response to the report, the Judicial Commission has received a complaint from Paula and stated that it will process it. KY ensures that every public report will be followed up according to the applicable procedures.

"The reporter has submitted a public report regarding the alleged violation of the Code of Ethics and the Behavioral Guidelines for Judges (KEPPH) related to the divorce case they are facing to the Judicial Commission.
