Ammar Zoni and 5 other high-risk detainees were transferred to Nusakambangan Prison today, Thursday, (16/10).
Ammar Zoni is now categorized as a high-risk detainee after being caught for allegedly distributing drugs inside the prison.
The process of transferring Ammar to Nusakambangan was carried out with super tight security.
Ammar Zoni and other detainees were handcuffed. Their faces were also covered with black cloth during the journey to Nusakambangan.
Upon arrival at Nusakambangan, Ammar and other detainees were placed in the High-Risk Karanganyar Prison.
"Like other high-risk inmates, they will receive maximum security and rehabilitation to help them become better," said Rika Aprianti, the Subdirector of Cooperation at the Directorate General of Corrections.
This transfer made Ammar Zoni the first celebrity in Indonesia to be detained in Nusakambangan Prison.
