Dinar Candy successfully defeated Ayu Aulia in the fifth Holywings Sports Show (HSS) boxing match in Indonesia Arena, at Gelora Bung Karno Complex, Senayan. Dinar herself admitted that she was not focused when throwing punches at Ayu.
This happened during the second round, when Dinar managed to land a punch on Ayu's face.
Thanks to the fresh blood flowing from Ayu Aulia's nose, the match was briefly stopped.
Apparently, Dinar cannot stand the sight of blood. That's why her concentration was slightly lost because she felt nauseous and short of breath since it was her first time boxing in a closed room with a large space.
"In the fourth round, I ran out of breath because this is different. Usually, I fight indoors with a small capacity, but this one has a very large capacity, so the nervousness was intense," said Dinar after the match on Sunday (21/4/2024).
"Only in the second round, or maybe in the third round, Ayu's nose was bleeding, so I felt nauseous. I can't stand the sight of blood, it makes me sick. So I was punching while feeling like throwing up," Dinar added.
The 31-year-old woman is grateful because once again she was able to bring home her third championship belt. Moreover, boxing has become something she loves now.
"Alhamdulillah, now I have three gold belts. Initially, I joined boxing just for fun," she said.
His defeat to Nikita Mirzani when he first participated in HSS taught him a lot and now he is reaping the results.
This victory is also the best gift for Dinar on his birthday, which falls on April 21, 2024.
"I turned my losses into motivation, so I trained boxing for a year and a half. I kept training after losing to Nikita Mirzani," said Dinar.
"Today is my birthday and I got everything, so this is a special gift for me," Dinar concluded.
