Ernest Cokelat, the guitarist of the famous band Cokelat and husband of Nirina Zubir, was recently elected as the neighborhood head in his residential area in Srengseng, West Jakarta. Ernest, who just turned 46, registered as a candidate for neighborhood head with the number 2. The election of the neighborhood head is conducted in a manner similar to general elections, where residents are given the opportunity to vote on a ballot.
Ernest successfully defeated two other candidates and will now serve from 2025 to 2030.
