Gusti Ega Putrawan, or more fully K.R.T. Gusti Ega Putrawan Yudhoningrat, is a millennial Indonesian figure widely known as a young entrepreneur, public figure, musician, and government official.
Born in Jakarta on September 9, 1991, Ega comes from a conglomerate family that has built a strong business in the waste, mining, and tobacco industries. His glamorous life does not make him forget his traditional roots. He officially holds the noble title of Kanjeng Raden Tumenggung from the Surakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate since 2021, a title that affirms the noble bloodline he inherits.
However, behind the scenes, Ega is a shrewd businessman. He is actively involved in the family company, which has a wide portfolio: from industrial waste business to coal and nickel mining.
His influence in the business world grows along with his relatively young age. It is no surprise that he is dubbed one of the most prominent millennial entrepreneurs in Indonesia.
Ega's career in government began when he was entrusted as a special staff or expert at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) in 2022. He is active in the field, especially in disaster management and public education on risk mitigation. Ega is also involved in interactive programs such as “Kita Tanya BNPB” which opens a discussion space between the agency and the public.
In the political arena, Ega is not just a spectator. He ran for legislative member from the United Development Party (PPP) for the DKI Jakarta II electoral district. He also released the “Sahabat Mas Ega” application as a digital channel to accommodate public aspirations.
The other side of Ega's life that caught the public's attention is his love story with actress Elina Joerg. They were in a relationship for seven years and often appeared romantic with a luxurious lifestyle, ranging from gifts of an Alphard car to military escorts while traveling. Their love story went viral, but ultimately ended in late 2024. He is now in the spotlight due to allegations of a special relationship with Angel Karamoy, which came to public attention after a photo together with Angel at the birthday party of the actress's second child.
