Portrait of Lesti Kejora's Confession After Being a Witness in the Copyright Law Trial, Uncomfortable Being Reported

"Alhamdulillah grateful everything went smoothly. I am also very happy to be given the opportunity to be a witness at the Constitutional Court," said Lesti Kejora at the Constitutional Court, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (22/7/2025).

Lesti was present alongside senior musician Sammy Simorangkir, who also provided his testimony before the panel of judges. The wife of Rizky Billar hopes that the testimony she delivered together with Sammy can serve as important consideration for the judges in making their decision.

"Yes, hopefully what was conveyed earlier and what Uncle Sammy said can be good considerations for the future," said Lesti Kejora.

Lesti's involvement in this trial is a result of a legal report that had been made against her. She admitted that she was reported for performing a song belonging to someone else at an event, even though the song was sung at the request of the organizers.

Although she claims it has not impacted her job offers, this case has left a psychological burden that makes her uncomfortable. The mother of one then poured out her heart regarding the status of "reported" that is now attached to her. 

"Well, regarding that (job), I am just grateful, alhamdulillah. It's just more about my personal comfort and peace of mind. As a member of society, being reported continuously is uncomfortable," said Lesti.

The wife of artist Rizky Billar is very hopeful that the issues she is facing can be resolved soon and find the best solution. "I hope it can be resolved quickly with a solution. If the resolution requires a meeting, then whatever it takes. I just want it to be over soon," she said.

When asked further about efforts to resolve the issue, Lesti confirmed that there has been communication established between both parties. "So far, from my legal counsel, there has been communication, but not directly through me," she said.
