Riders Reza Arap Turns Out to Be Fried Chicken and Can Be Eaten by the Crew

In the midst of the glitz of the entertainment stage, a musician's rider list often becomes the spotlight. Many imagine strange and luxurious requests, but that doesn't seem to apply to Reza Arap.

The member of the electronic music group Weird Genius actually has a very simple and consistent list of requests over time. The man, who is also known as a YouTuber, admits that his rider has never undergone significant changes since the past. Check out the full story below!

"I have never changed from the past until now. Cigarettes, and one more thing, one brand of fried chicken, outside of alcohol, yes for Weird Genius. Because in clubs, there is alcohol. But if it’s a festival that doesn't sell alcohol, then there’s none," said Reza Arap in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Monday (21/7/2025).

The request for fried chicken may sound ordinary, but there is a practical reason behind it. It shows that Arap is not only thinking of himself but also the entire team working behind the scenes. The man whose real name is Reza Oktovian then explains the function of the fried chicken that he always requests.   "First, if I haven't eaten, I can eat right away. Second, if I've already eaten, it can be for my crew," he explains.

Although his request is quite easy to fulfill, it doesn't always go smoothly. There are times when the event organizers cannot provide what is listed in the riders.

However, the musician shows a very relaxed attitude and does not make it a big deal. He admits that he has often experienced this and chooses not to worry about it. Here is his relaxed reaction when facing such situations.   "Often, but it's okay. Just let it be, hehehe, why get angry, it's fine," he said.

Furthermore, Arap also has his own views on what riders are. According to him, riders are a form of obligation from the organizers that simultaneously becomes a right for an artist. He also tried to explain his views diplomatically.

"If riders are an obligation from the organizers. This is according to me, I'm just speaking diplomatically. And it is actually the right of the talent or the artist," he stated.

"So in my opinion, it's perfectly fine, no matter how strange it is. For example, one of the members of Weird Genius, Roy, his rider requests a Pokemon card, but one from the minimarket. Not anything fancy," he concluded.
