From Stairs to the Big Screen, the Story of Artotel Thamrin Becomes the Poster for the Film 'SORE'

The film SORE: WIFE FROM THE FUTURE has successfully captured the public's attention since its first day of screening. It's no wonder that its poster has also garnered a lot of attention. Many have replicated the poster and are curious about the shooting location.

It turns out that the iconic stairs featured in the poster are the stairs at Artotel Thamrin. Recently, the Artotel team shared their involvement in the film SORE with the KapanLagi editorial team. Here are the details.

"In February, the team from Cerita Film contacted us regarding the SORE film project. We were happy to support their idea, especially since Artotel is always open to creative collaborations," said the Artotel team recently.

"We are officially partners in this film with the iconic stairs at ARTOTEL Thamrin used as the main backdrop for the SORE film poster," he added.

Furthermore, the Artotel party also revealed how the stairs were indeed designed as a visual element in the first hotel built by Artotel Group back in 2011.

"The stairs at ARTOTEL Thamrin have a unique character. From the beginning, the design was made not only as a functional element connecting the floors but also as part of the hotel's visual identity rich in art and design elements," explained the Artotel party.

The Artotel party does not deny that the virality of the SORE poster has had an extraordinary impact on the hotel. They acknowledge an increase in traffic and awareness of both the restaurant and the rooftop bar at Artotel.

"The effect makes us smile, because it turns out the enthusiasm is extraordinary! Many guests and visitors come just to take photos on these stairs, but in the end, they also stop by and eat at our restaurant, Double Chin Restaurant & Bar," he said.

Although in the end the stairs became a crowded photo spot on weekends, they did recommend the best times to visit.

"If you want to get a quieter photo moment, we recommend coming in the morning between 6–9 AM or during the afternoon on weekdays. During those hours, the atmosphere is quieter, so you can take photos more freely and of course, the lighting is also great for content," they concluded.
