Before Passing Away, Sarwendah's Father Uttered Words That Seemed to Be a Foreboding

Before taking his last breath, the late Hendrik Lo, father of Sarwendah, seemingly gave a premonition to his children. He uttered a poignant phrase that the family has only now realized the meaning of.

Sarwendah reminisces about her last conversation with her father. In that chat, the deceased seemed to imply that he would not be a burden to his children for much longer.

"He said, 'Alright, now I'm bothering you, later I won't bother you anymore,' like maybe there were already some clues like that," Sarwendah revealed at the Grand Heaven Funeral Home, Pluit, Monday (21/7/2025).

The premonition grew stronger because the father had always been known as someone who did not like to trouble others and very much disliked having medical tubes attached to his body.

"And indeed, from the beginning, Dad didn't like having tubes and such, so when he was being treated, he wanted to remove all the tubes," said Sarwendah.

The father's wish was fulfilled in his last moments. After all the tubes were removed and his body was cleaned, Sarwendah saw her father smiling with a very happy expression.

"At the moment they were removed, and he was cleaned up, he really smiled, a smile that was very happy," she reminisced.

Now, Sarwendah and her family plan to fulfill one of the late father's unfulfilled wishes. His ashes will be scattered at sea using a boat, an experience that the father never had.

"Well, my mom once had a birthday on a boat, and he has never experienced that, so later we will arrange to scatter the ashes on the boat," she explained.

In addition, the family will also hold a 'final party' for the father during the flower night event, where the late father's friends will come to sing and celebrate his life.

"Tomorrow is the flower night, so Yeye's friends want to sing because flower night is like a celebration, so to speak," concluded Sarwendah.
