Although trying to be strong, Najwa could not hold back her tears due to the loss of the man she loved deeply. However, Najwa appeared to try to hold back her tears when the mourners arrived, and she greeted everyone with resilience.

Najwa Shihab is deeply mourning the death of her husband, Ibrahim Sjarief Assegaf. Her husband took his last breath on Tuesday, (20/5) after being treated in the hospital due to a stroke.

Ibrahim was Najwa's true love. They met when the presenter was 19 years old and he proposed immediately, then they married when Nana was 20. They were together for 28 years, until death separated them.

When meeting the mourners, Nana's face appeared swollen. The sorrow was clearly visible on Nana's face after Ibrahim's departure, which shocked many people.

However, when meeting hundreds of guests who came to pay their respects at her home, Najwa seemed to be trying to remain strong. She greeted all the guests while continuing to accompany the body of the late Ibrahim.

Quraish Shihab, Najwa's father, revealed that his daughter is currently in good condition. "Surrender, acceptance, whatever is determined by God, that is the best. Indeed, the heart is sad, the eyes are teary, but never uttering anything except what is pleasing to God," said Quraish Shihab at TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta, Wednesday (21/5/2025).

Quraish mentioned that initially, Najwa also found it hard to accept this bitter reality, but she tried to remain strong and have faith. "Of course, everyone at first will not be ready for loss. But those who are aware will realize that it belongs to God," he said.

Deddy Corbuzier, who visited Najwa to offer condolences, also captured the moment of their meeting. With a face full of sorrow, Najwa greeted Deddy accompanied by her relatives.
