Portrait of Nikita Mirzani Appearing in Hijab at Court, Response to Previous Court Warning

Nikita Mirzani's appearance once again became the center of attention in the ongoing trial regarding allegations of extortion and Money Laundering (TPPU). Unlike her usual style, Nikita appeared wearing a closed outfit complete with a hijab when attending the hearing at the South Jakarta District Court on Thursday (16/10/2025).

In the hearing with the agenda of reading the defense note or plea, Nikita was seen wearing a blue-and-white patterned tunic paired with a white hijab. Her more modest appearance is a direct response to the warning she received in the previous trial.

"Today I am the daughter of Pharaoh, yes. Because yesterday I was told I was rude, today I will show politeness," said Nikita Mirzani when met at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday (16/10/2025).

As is known, during the previous trial, Nikita Mirzani's behavior was deemed rude by the Public Prosecutor (JPU). This even became one of the points that weighed heavily in the indictment read against her.

On this occasion, Nikita expressed her readiness to face the plea hearing. She emphasized that she would read the defense note that she had personally prepared to counter the prosecutor's charges.

"I made the plea myself, just listen later," said Nikita Mirzani.

Previously, the public prosecutor had demanded that the panel of judges impose a prison sentence of 11 years on Nikita Mirzani. Not only that, she was also fined Rp 2 billion, which if not paid would be replaced with 6 months of confinement.

In its indictment, the public prosecutor stated that Nikita Mirzani was proven legally and convincingly to have committed extortion against Reza Gladys. In addition, she was also charged with Money Laundering (TPPU) from the proceeds of that crime.

In this case, Nikita is not alone. She was charged with committing her acts together with her assistant, Ismail Marzuki. Both are charged under multiple articles that include the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Law on the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering.
