The investigation into the alleged threats and extortion case involving artist Nikita Mirzani is still ongoing. Although she has been detained since March 4, 2025, along with her assistant, Mail Syahputra, their case files have yet to be declared complete by the Public Prosecutor (JPU).

Fahmi Bachmid, Nikita's legal counsel, revealed plans for new legal action. He will file a breach of contract lawsuit in the near future.

This lawsuit is not only directed at the complainants Reza Gladys and AM, but also targets institutions such as the Chief of Police and the Attorney General as co-defendants. "Yes, if the last detention period is June 1, 2025. So we will just have to wait and see," Fahmi said when contacted via Zoom on Wednesday (May 14, 2025).

Fahmi stated that this lawsuit is to test that the issue between Nikita and Reza is a civil matter, not a criminal one. He suspects that this case is being forced into the realm of criminal law.

"From this breach of contract lawsuit, I will examine this issue, that this is a matter of civil law that is being forced into a criminal case, like that," he asserted.

This lawsuit, continued Fahmi, arose from an agreement between Reza, Mail, and Nikita regarding an amount of money worth Rp4 billion. He mentioned that there is a form of cooperation or agreement that should not be questioned as a criminal act."So I was asked by Nikita immediately to, 'Bang just register the breach of contract lawsuit'," he revealed.

Fahmi also explained that the basis for the report against Nikita comes from a recording that is suspected to have been made illegally. The recording is currently being investigated by the Metro Jaya Police."There are people who made the recording without permission, which is suspected to be used as evidence in this report," he said.

He assured that he will test all aspects in this lawsuit, including the alleged unauthorized recording and the contents of the existing agreement.

"Achievement is having done it, while breach of contract is violating the existing agreement. And the lawsuit we filed is a lawsuit for breach of contract committed by someone, RG and AM," he concluded.
