Two days after the death of Raditya Oloan on Thursday evening (5/6/2021) at 18.13 WIB, the family held a press conference at Sentosa Funeral Home RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, where the body of Joanna Alexandra's husband was laid to rest. Family representatives revealed the chronology of Raditya Oloan's death at the age of 36. Take a look at the photos in the following slide.
The departure of Raditya Oloan still leaves a deep sorrow not only for family and relatives, but also for the millennial generation who know him as a pastor and motivator.
In a press conference held by the family at the funeral home on Saturday (8/5/2021), Icha, as Raditya's sister, revealed the chronology of the death of the man born on December 7, 1984.
"Initially Covid, he was isolated at home for a day or two until he was finally taken to the Athlete's House. Then the others followed. There was his sister, driver, wife, and children. In total, there were 10 people who contracted Covid and were treated there," said Icha.
Raditya Oloan's condition, who was infected with Covid, was further worsened by comorbidity. Asthma, which he had since childhood, made Raditya Oloan recover longer than others.
In addition to taking longer to recover, Raditya's health condition actually deteriorated when it had initially improved. After being admitted to the HCU room at Wisma Atlet, Raditya was transferred to the ICU of RS Persahabatan due to a sudden drop in condition.
"Due to having comorbid asthma, his condition is not as good as others, so he had to be in the HCU. Then he was taken to RS Persahabatan and admitted to the ICU. For a week, he was doing well and was even told to go home because he had been discharged from the ICU and moved to a regular room. But he suddenly deteriorated due to inflammation in his body. Finally, he was admitted to the non-Covid ICU for six days until he took his last breath," he said.
Since his passing on Thursday afternoon (6/5/2021), Raditya Oloan's body has been laid in state at the Sentosa RSPAD Gatot Subroto funeral home in Central Jakarta. Family members and mourners come to see Raditya for the last time.
Plans are underway to bury the father of three children next Sunday (9/5/2021) at San Diego Hills, Karawang, West Java. The elite burial site was chosen because it is considered to be the best resting place for Raditya Oloan.
"Tomorrow at half past ten, he will be taken from the funeral home to San Diego Hills. Only there will there be a final prayer before being laid to rest. (Why there) there is no specific reason, it is just felt that it is the best place for the family in terms of burial," Icha concluded.
