In an interview, he explained that finding the right partner is not an easy task, likening the process to not being as simple as making martabak.
"It's not like making martabak. Snap, snap, throw, cut, done. It's not like that, even though we have been (widowed) for years," he said as quoted by detikhot.
He also admitted the difficulty in explaining the criteria for his ideal woman, saying that if there is someone who "clicks", it is hard to express in words.
"I can't express it in words. If there is someone who clicks, can you really express it? It's difficult, right," he said.
Samuel does not want to rush. He mentioned that his child, Drucilia Kalea Arifin, has never directly asked him to remarry.
"Did she consciously ask? But maybe she has a feeling that her dad should have a companion, especially since her mother has passed away. But she never asked me to marry again," he said.
Samuel Rizal and Stevie Agnecya got married in 2012 and divorced four years later. Stevie Agnecya passed away in March 2024, which certainly left a deep sorrow for family and loved ones.
