Positive for Amphetamines and Methamphetamines, Coki Pardede Uses Meth by Injection

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Coki Pardede was arrested by the police for drug abuse. Coki was arrested at a house in Pagedangan District, Tangerang Regency, on Wednesday (1/9/2021).

From the arrest, the police confiscated evidence of crystal meth and syringes. After conducting a urine test, Coki and his friend named Welly tested positive for using amphetamines and methamphetamines.

"Both tested positive for amphetamines and methamphetamines," said AKBP Pratomo Widodo, the Head of Narcotics Unit of Tangerang City Police, when contacted on Thursday (2/9/2021).

According to Pratomo, Coki used crystal meth in an unusual way, which is by injecting it. As we know, this type of drug is usually consumed by inhaling it.

"He used it in a different way, the crystal meth was mixed with water (then injected). (Using crystal meth by injection), this is not the first case, there are also several people who use injections," he explained.

According to Kasatres Narkoba Polres Tangerang Kota AKBP Pratomo Widodo, Coki has been using crystal meth since 8 months ago. The comedian famous for his dark jokes did indeed stop using drugs for a while, but started using them again.

"He (Coki) used it 8 months ago and had stopped, but then wanted to use it again because he couldn't stop. His body wanted it again," said Pratomo Widodo.

Furthermore, Pratomo also explained the reason why Coki used crystal meth. Who would have thought that initially he was just trying it out, before eventually becoming addicted.

"For the reason, initially he tried it out, then became addicted. From the beginning, it was just to boost his confidence," concluded Pratomo Widodo.

2. Majelis Lucu Indonesia Apologizes

In response to this arrest, Majelis Lucu Indonesia (MLI) has spoken out. Based on a video posted on MLI's official Instagram, Tretan Muslim and the CEO, Patrick Effendy, confirmed the news of Coki's arrest.

Muslim stated that MLI is handing over all legal processes to the police. "We from Majelis Lucu Indonesia confirm that the news of Coki Pardede's arrest is true and we hand over the legal process to the authorities," he said.

Patrick said that MLI is also trying to gather more information from the police and the family. "We are currently taking care of all our obligations that we must fulfill towards our partner, Coki Pardede, to all clients and also to all customers," he said.

They promised to update all news through the YouTube channel of Majelis Lucu Indonesia. MLI also apologizes to those who have been affected. "We apologize to all parties who have been affected. Thank you for your support. We will update all developments," he concluded.
