Prilly Latuconsina Highlights the Beauty of the Kaimana Sea Through a Documentary Film

Prilly Latuconsina once again shows her concern for the environment. The actress, known for her active involvement in conservation activities, has just completed a short documentary film about the beauty of the waters of Kaimana, West Papua. This project is a collaboration with Conservation Indonesia and has been in the works since October last year.

"Launching my shortest document with Conservation Indonesia. This has been worked on since October last year. And I've been really eager to post. But I can't, because I have to wait until it airs before I can post the footage," said Prilly Latuconsina in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (25/2/2025).

This is not just a documentary project; the journey has also become a memorable personal experience. The star of the film Danur has indeed been interested in the underwater world for a long time and has been actively diving for the past three years.

"I'm sure it will be really fun, because as I mentioned earlier, I've been diving for 3 years now. Kaimana is definitely on my wishlist. Because I really enjoy going to dive spots that might be rarely visited by people. That's why I've noted that I really want to go to Kaimana," she said.

The natural beauty of Kaimana is not only found underwater. This area also has islands and forests that are still pristine. Prilly feels lucky to be able to visit this place, not only as a tourist but also to work on a project that aligns with her interests in conservation.

"Moreover, the nature there, besides the underwater, the islands, and the forests are also really beautiful. Finally, I got the chance to go to Kaimana. It's not just a vacation, but we are working on a conservation project which is also my passion," she stated.

As an environmental activist, Prilly also has a community called Generasi Peduli Bumi, which actively campaigns for care for nature. The opportunity to dive while working in the conservation field is something she is very proud of.
